About our recruitment process/How are hire

Do you want to be part of an aspirant, values-driven company with big ambitions? Our vision here at Platinum Informatics is to bring the digital lab of the future to the research laboratories of today and we need highly motivated, bright, self-starters who can help us to realise this.

We endeavour to give our candidates a positive recruitment experience and we tailor our processes specifically to the role. Recruitment stages include:


This is your opportunity to really stand out and show us what skills and experience you will bring to the role. We encourage you to read the advert carefully, so you can focus your application to demonstrate why you’re the right candidate to join us. 

We will advertise our roles for a set period of time, usually two weeks, the closing date will be published on the job advert. In the event that we get a high number of quality applications, we may close the advert early. You are welcome to call the recruiting manager to discuss the role in more detail. 


We will review your application and if you fit the key criteria we will invite you to the next stage. These stages are role specific and will vary, but they can include:

Video screening

This is a basic interview covering 3-4 key introductory questions. You’ll be sent an invitation with instructions for how to record your interview.


Round 1 – Technical Interview

Technical roles: ahead of a first interview, we may ask you to work on a specific technical problem that we would like to discuss with you in more detail. 

Technical interview: This is an opportunity to meet your future peers and talk to them about the reality of working here at Platinum Informatics. It will be a structured interview covering all the aspects of the person specification. This session will also give you the chance to find out more and ask questions which will equip you for stage two. 

Round 2 – Competency and character interview

This interview will focus on key competencies for the role and values fit for the organisation. A HR representative will be present for this interview. 

Third round interview – if you applied for a very senior or highly strategic role, we may invite you to meet our Co-Founders and/or some of our Non-Executive Directors. 

Employment checks

If you are offered a post here at Platinum Informatics, then we will ask for copies of your qualifications and other relevant documentation and carry out all the relevant employment checks.
